We are so lucky to have 2 Italian bakeries, 2 French bakeries, a dedicated pie shop, and many more. My mom and I did the homework for you so you don’t have to try them all. Here are our Favorite MUST TRY pastries. Let us know your favorites and we’ll try those too!
- Coffee Cardamon Monkey from Blooms End. It is gooey and the cardamon is very central. Bloom End is the cutest food truck, pink and yellow reminds you of a cottage kitchen. Pastry Chef Mary Denham always has such interesting selections and a pastry and a cup of coffee on a picnic table is how a weekend morning should start! She is open Friday and Saturday 10-1 and you can shop produce at Ten Fold Farm as well.
- Pistachio Cream Puff from Stellina Pronto. Three separate people I know (okay, one was me) said that the Pistachio Cream Puff from Stellina Pronto is the tastiest thing they have ever put in their mouth! I’ve given them as birthday and congratulations presents which were recieved with great delight. Bring them to a party and be the most popular person there. They also have raspberry and chocolate cream puffs that are lovely too!
- Strawberry Rhubarb mini pie from BakerE you can find at the Tuesday East Side Farmers Market. I love eveything BakerE does – always hard to choose but I’m from West Virginia and rhubarb is something I love and don’t find here that often. The pie is juicy and has that wonderful tartness of rhubarb.
