Petaluma is filled with great restaurants and bars where you can have your fur bestie(s) with you. Here are our recommendations and favorites:
- The Block is a top choice for dogs and their humans as it is outdoor bar (with a roof in parts) that has cocktails, beer & wine and food or food trucks available. They love dogs and Izzy has made many dog and human friends there. We love to go on Thursdays for Trivia and when the Lobster truck is in town!
- The Rules – Dogs can be anywhere – on leash of course
- Lagunitas Their logo is a dog! They have a full restaurant or you can go for drinks only. The brewery has a sandy patio and a lawn so we do walk around when Izzy gets bored. Their swag shop sells dog biscuits and dog toys etc. and the hostess and store give treats!
- The Rules – Dogs can be anywhere – on leash of course
- McNears restaurant and bar is so warm to dogs. Several servers love on the dogs and you can be on the patio or on the covered porch for dining or drinking with your pup. Always lots of dogs at McNears.
- The Rules – Dogs on outdoor patio or the covered patio which is the tiled area at the entrance. On leash of course.
- Taps downtown by the river is extremely dog friendly. You can sit on picnic tables on the yard or on the covered or uncovered patio. Taps has made me food for izzy (sometimes I request plain chicken or burger or hot dog).
- The Rules – Dogs allowed in most areas on a leash.
- Brewsters is dog friendly and I’ve met the sweetest dogs there. Brewsters great food and drinks and because its open air dogs are allowed everywhere.
- The Rules – Dogs are allowed everywhere on a leash.
- Crooked Goat is the only indoor dog friendly offering in Petaluma. Crooked Goat is mainly a brewery but you can order food from Acme Burger and they offer wine as well. It is very dog friendly and we’ve seen dogs of all sizes on the brewery.
- The Rules – Dogs allowed everywhere, paws on the floor!
- Special mention Twin Oaks is a great place to eat or drink with your dog(s). The food and cocktails are good and the staff is so nice. Dogs are really comfortable on the back patio.
- The Rules – Dogs are allowed in the big outdoor area that has a roof in parts.
